Freeze Bang Out 8-4 Win Versus Reno
|
The Minneapolis Freeze defeated the Reno Raiders, 8-4, at House of Pain. Minneapolis catcher Reece Wager was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Kyoji Rin got the win, improving to 3-1. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 4. The Freeze bumped their record to 23-14 with this latest triumph.
Miguel Olberos aided the Minneapolis cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Wager.
