Silver Lake and Bowling Green duked it out at Top of the Hill and the Baristas came out victorious.

The Silver Lake Baristas defeated the Bowling Green Racers, 6-3, in Nick Adenhart League action at Top of the Hill, with Silver Lake catcher Andrew Spence named player of the game. The winner was Jason Hammond in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Joe Good took the loss.

Silver Lake used the timely hitting of Brady Warren to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Baristas on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Spence told the Silver Lake Daily News.

The last-place Baristas lifted their record to 15-24.
