Republic Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
So Cal Republic starter Masafumi Tamura pitched a strong game against the Santa Fe Fuego at House of the Republic, leading the Republic to a 7-4 win. Tamura, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. The Republic keep rolling, raising their record to 14-7.
Noam Foucher, who is tied for 2nd in the RCL with a .361 batting average, chipped in for So Cal with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"We had a good game plan," Tamura said, "and we were able to execute it."
