Argonauts Score Late, Stun Bombers, 7-6

The Astoria Argonauts eked out a 7-6 win versus the Bronx Bombers at Golden Fleece Park. Nobody did more than third baseman Robby Lucero, who captured player of the game honors. Astoria reliever Artashes Injeyan picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Bartolo Alicpa absorbed the loss. The Bombers, at 14-26, have lost 5 straight games.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Astoria first baseman Marc Dale, facing Bartolo Alicpa, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Argonauts the 7-6 win.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Astoria manager Bernard Jacq.
