Antioch beat Billings on the strength of starter Takeji Ogawa's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. The win was Obke van der Haar's in relief. His record improves to 3-1. John Otten took the loss for Billings. The winning streak has now reached 11 games for the Coal Miners.

Naosuke Matsumoto was the walk-off hero for Antioch. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Coal Miners shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Billings skipper Bill Martin.
