The Joplin Fireballs picked up a win at The Firepit, knocking off the Minneapolis Freeze, 4-3. Starting pitcher Al Bates, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Earning his 15th save for Joplin was Al Hrabosky Jr.. Joplin has now won 11 in a row.

Josh Kamm, who is tied for 7th in the DKL in home runs with 7, aided the Joplin cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Joplin manager Chance Jackson.
