Death Stars Take Nail-Biter Over Raiders
The Detroit Death Stars and Reno Raiders put on quite a show at The Death Star.

The Death Stars faced a stiff challenge from Reno pitcher Théophile Richard, but persevered to claim a win at The Death Star. The final score was 4-3. Richard went 8.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Detroit reliever Brad Ross was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Mal Goff took the loss for Reno.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Detroit designated hitter Masamichi Fujita, facing Mal Goff, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Death Stars the 4-3 win.

"Put a star next to this win," Fujita said.

The Death Stars raised their record to 17-18.
