Indian Wells starter Phil Phillips pitched effectively against the Fort Worth Cats at Stars Field. The left-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Kevin Spurr closed the game out for Indian Wells, earning his 9th save. Indian Wells now has a 3-game win streak.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Pramana Djambek stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put Indian Wells in front, 3-1.

"Phil did a tremendous job," said Indian Wells manager Mario Perez.
