Both teams had their chances, but the Canton Paczkis eventually prevailed at LaGrave Field.

Canton beat Fort Worth at LaGrave Field, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Jesús Ortíz, who earned player of the game honors. Cory Kieck was credited with the save for Canton, his 1st of the season.

Enreecko Jocson made it 3-2, Canton, in the top of the ninth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Paczkis win.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Jocson.

The last-place Paczkis improved to 14-22.
