Late Rally by Phantoms Secures Win
|
The Coronado Phantoms and Vancouver Canadians completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Coronado Phantoms topped the Vancouver Canadians, 6-0, in Nick Adenhart League action at Stanley Park. The player of the game was Coronado pitcher and Mexico native Francisco Zúńiga. The Phantoms bumped their record to 19-16 with this latest triumph.
The Phantoms benefited from a costly error in the top of the eighth. With Giampaolo Marcovicci at bat and Coronado leading 1-0, the Vancouver miscue allowed Coronado to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
"Francisco is still learning," said Phantoms manager Jeffrey Graham. "The sky's the limit for him."
