The Pasadena Bumblebees and Joplin Fireballs provided some drama at The Hole.

Pasadena got a terrific performance from designated hitter Carl Eveleigh, but it wasn't enough to beat the Joplin Fireballs. Joplin won the The Hole contest, 6-5. Eveleigh was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The last-place Bumblebees have lost 5 consecutive games.

It could have been a different outcome for Joplin, had it not been for Josh Kamm, the 27-year old right fielder . Kamm contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Joplin up, 5-4.

"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Joplin manager Chance Jackson.
