Javier Ballina pitched a gem to lead Vancouver to a 2-0 victory over the Indian Wells Aeropostales. Alexis Coates closed it out for his 10th save. The Canadians bumped their record to 20-13 with this latest triumph.

Ballina allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 7.2 innings for the Canadians. He walked 1 and struck out 8.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Indian Wells skipper Mario Perez, "and it cost us."
