Albuquerque got a terrific performance from center fielder Giichiro Dunn, but it wasn't enough to beat the Fort Worth Cats. Fort Worth won the Albuquerque Sports Stadium contest, 4-3. Dunn was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Jesús Féliz, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 3.2 innings. With the loss, Albuquerque falls to 17-15.

Ruy Cerca, who is tied for 6th in the NAL in triples with 2, aided the Fort Worth cause with a 2-run double in the top of the second. For the game, the third baseman was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Albuquerque skipper Tom Robertson.
