Benefiting from Danilo Cannavaro's productive game, the Detroit Death Stars downed the Minneapolis Freeze, 5-3. Cannavaro went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Death Stars. Hervé Muller, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. With the loss, Minneapolis falls to 18-10.

Ivan Nunez aided the Detroit cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a double.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Cannavaro said.
