Reno got a terrific performance from center fielder José Tobías, but it wasn't enough to beat the Fairfield Flash. Fairfield won the Red Rocket Field contest, 7-4. Tobías was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 4-7 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Fairfield reliever Jamie Newitt picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. José Toro was saddled with the loss. The win pushes Fairfield to a record of 17-14.

The Flash got a big at-bat from catcher Jorge Escobedo. For the game, Escobedo went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the 15th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Fairfield a 7-4 lead.
