Reno and Peoria duked it out at Excavatar Park and the Rockets came out victorious.

The inspired effort of Peoria left fielder Danny Sanchez was not enough to prevent a 5-3 loss to the Reno Rockets. Sanchez was 2-3 with a home run. Charlie Bennett closed it out for his 4th save.

José Tobías, who is tied for 8th in the NAL in bases on balls with 23, aided the Reno cause with a solo home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4 with a home run.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Tobías told the Reno News. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."

The Caterpillars fall to 14-17 and continue their wobbly start to the 2034 season.
