Tornadoes Rally For Late Win Over Grays
|
A 4-RBI performance from Manny Silva, the 15 overall pick in the 2028 draft, helped the Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Georgia Grays, 7-4. Robinson Merrado picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Ánibal Altichioro was tagged with the loss. Tomoyuki Kiyomizu earned the save, his 1st, for the Tornadoes.
Silva had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Matt Comrie, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Tornadoes a 7-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Silva.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Silva said.
With the loss, Georgia sinks to 1-1.
