Pasadena starter Jerry Kennedy put a stranglehold on the Vancouver offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Bumblebees to a 8-0 win. Pasadena is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 29 games.

The Bumblebees got a big at-bat from catcher Gonzalo Rodríguez. For the game, Rodríguez was 2-3 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 9th hit of the season gave Pasadena a 2-0 lead.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Kennedy.
