The Chicago Titans bested the Detroit Death Stars, 6-4, at The Death Star. Jaswant Ghosal was named player of the game. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Chicago reliever Millard Dixon was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Steve Ferguson took the loss. Ayan Osewe earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
Norishige Iwamoto, who is tied for 5th in the NAL in triples with 2, aided the Chicago cause with a 2-run double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Chicago manager Tom Klein.
Chicago, now 18-10, has gotten their season off to a good start.
