The Omaha Raptors grabbed a 9-7 win over the Espanola Bomberos at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. Omaha catcher David Pierce went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. Shu-de Chia, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. The win pushes Omaha to a record of 12-17.

Pierce had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 cutter from Aubert Licci, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Raptors a 9-7 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Pierce.

"I like to lead by example," said Pierce. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
