|
The Peoria Caterpillars relied on the hitting of left fielder Danny Sanchez to stop the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 6-1. For the game, Sanchez was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Enrique Galván picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-3. He struck out 5 in 6.1 innings. The Aeropostales fall to 12-16 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Bill Carr hit a run-scoring double off Yeijiro Ishihara in the top of the fourth, which put the Caterpillars in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Carr had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
