Albuquerque Cacti starter Kanichi Kaneshiro turned in a top-notch performance against the Detroit Death Stars at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The result was a win for the Cacti, 3-0. The win brings the Cacti to 15-12, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Jorge Quintero aided the Albuquerque cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.

"Enjoyed this one," Quintero told the Albuquerque Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
