|
Reno pitcher Almas bin Su'ud did his part in helping his team beat the Coronado Phantoms, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save went to Gerry LaForest, his 6th this season. The win pushes Reno to a record of 13-12.
The Raiders got a big at-bat from first baseman Matsudaira Sato. For the game, Sato was 4-4 with 4 singles. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 16th hit of the season gave Reno a 2-1 lead.
