Raiders Need Extras to Top Mustangs
Gareth King pitched well, but his team, the Billings Mustangs, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Reno Raiders at Cobb Field. Reno reliever Diego Contreras was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Gareth King took the loss. The Mustangs drop to 11-11 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2034 season.

The Raiders got a big at-bat from catcher Gary Carter. For the game, Carter went 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the 11th, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Reno a 4-2 lead.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Billings manager Bill Martin.
