Johnson goes 3-for-4, Coal Miners Move to 18-4
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Pasadena Bumblebees.
A 4-RBI performance from John Johnson, who leads the DKL in total bases with 71, helped the Antioch Coal Miners beat the Pasadena Bumblebees, 8-6. The win was credited to Ramón Torres in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Nick Copeland took the loss.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Johnson, who is tied for 2nd in the DKL in home runs with 9, hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Coal Miners into the lead, 6-2.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Johnson.
Antioch, now 18-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.
