Death Stars Need Extras to Top Bombers
The Death Stars had to overcome a fine performance from Bronx pitcher Max Grant to grab a 4-2 win at Bronx Ballpark. Grant allowed 2 earned runs over 5.2 innings. The win brings the Death Stars to 12-9, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

The Death Stars got a big at-bat from first baseman Seung-mun Shinn. For the game, Shinn went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Detroit a 4-2 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Shinn told reporters after the game.
