The Reno Raiders picked up a win at Cobb Field, knocking off the Billings Mustangs, 5-2. On the mound for Reno was left-hander Maurice Bignold, who played a pivotal role in the win. Gerry LaForest finished to wrap up his 5th save. With the loss, Billings is 11-10.

Phil Goodenough, who is tied for 10th in the DKL in stolen bases with 7, aided the Reno cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
