Rockets Fall Short, 2-1, at Indian Wells
The Reno Rockets wasted an inspired, 6.1-inning effort from starter Guo-quiang Zhào, falling 2-1 to the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Stars Field. Kevin Spurr finished to wrap up his 5th save. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Aeropostales hope to make a postseason run.

Bernardo Rodríguez's at-bat in the bottom of the third inning was a big one for Indian Wells. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 3rd and Indian Wells trailing 1-0, the second baseman reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Rodríguez told a Indian Wells Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
