|
Coal Miners left fielder John Johnson put his stamp on his team's 9-6 win over the Pasadena Bumblebees. Johnson was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for Antioch in the contest. George Fortin Jr. closed the door for Antioch, picking up his 1st save of the year. Pasadena, at 2-20, is off to a poor start in 2034.
Roger Schäfer, who is tied for 6th in the DKL in home runs with 5, chipped in for Antioch with a grand slam home run in the top of the second. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
