|
The Espanola Bomberos got a stellar performance from pitcher Noel Blackwell, who handcuffed the Indian Wells offense en route to a 7-2 win at Stars Field. The Aeropostales fall to 9-13 and continue their lackluster start to the 2034 season.
Brendan Webb, who is tied for 8th in the NAL in bases on balls with 16, aided the Espanola cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
Blackwell attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
