Rockets Come Back Late to Clip Cats
Fort Worth got a terrific performance from pitcher He-ping Wang, but it wasn't enough to beat the Reno Rockets. Reno won the Red Rocket Field contest, 5-4. Wang was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The Cats fall to 7-13 and continue their lackluster start in 2034.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Reno trailing 4-3, Kiyoshi Shinohara hit a changeup from Everton Mailes to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Rockets had a walk-off win.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Fort Worth manager Walt Dobson.
