Caterpillars Lose, 7-5, at The Death Star
|
Detroit played host to Peoria at the friendly confines of The Death Star.
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Allan Morris, the Detroit Death Stars defeated the Peoria Caterpillars, 7-5. Morris went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Death Stars. Kent Whitten recorded the save for Detroit, his 5th of the season.
Detroit designated hitter Seung-mun Shinn contributed to the cause with a double in the bottom of the first. For the game, Shinn was 1 for 3.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Detroit manager Loren Garrison.
The Caterpillars, at 6-14, have stumbled out of the gate.
