Cats Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
Getting a good performance from third baseman Ruy Cerca, the Fort Worth Cats defeated the Reno Rockets, 10-7. Cerca was 4-6 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Cats. The Rockets, now 11-8, continue their slow start.

The Cats beat the Rockets with some clutch hitting. The single by Chris Schmidt in the top of the 12th is a good example. With two down, Schmidt gave his team the lead, 9-7, when he came through with the big hit.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Cerca said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
