Mustangs Get One-Run Win at Joplin
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Billings Mustangs and Joplin Fireballs came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Billings Mustangs starter Gareth King was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Joplin Fireballs, 1-0. King got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. King allowed no earned runs.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from left fielder Bill St.john. For the game, St.john was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Billings a 1-0 lead.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Joplin manager Chance Jackson said following the tough loss.

Losses have been rare for the Fireballs, who are now 14-5.
