Moreno Helps Vancouver Cruise to 11-3 Win
With center fielder Marcos Moreno leading the charge, the Vancouver Canadians defeated the Silver Lake Baristas, 11-3, at Ashton Gate. Moreno went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Javier Ballina was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 6 walks and 3 strikeouts. Vancouver, now 11-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Moreno had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Canadians went on to win.
