With catcher Kitaw Malecela leading the charge, the Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Omaha Raptors, 10-4, at Foothills Stadium. Malecela, who leads the DKL in bases on balls with 18, went 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Clay Melsom got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and no runs, while striking out 3 and walking 0. The Raptors fall to 9-9 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

The fans who came in support of the Kodiaks were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Foothills Stadium.
