Raptors Get Road Win, 7-4
|
Omaha Raptors starter Michiomi Moteki was in fine form against the Calgary Kodiaks at Foothills Stadium, leading his team to a 7-4 win. Moteki picked up the win for Omaha, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Picking up the save was Shu-de Chia, his 1st.
Luke Cowley went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Omaha. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Fred Naylor. It was his 4th RBI of the season.
Moteki expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
The win gives the Raptors a record of 9-8.
