The Vancouver Canadians beat the Albuquerque Cacti, 5-3, at Stanley Park. Vancouver right fielder António Román earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Wilson Polk got the win, improving to 2-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 4. The Cacti fall to 7-8 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Román hit a solo home run. It propelled the Canadians into the lead, 3-2.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Román said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
