Grays Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Toreros
|
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Georgia Grays and Cabo San Lucas Toreros came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
With first baseman Conor Borlase leading the charge, the Georgia Grays defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 5-3, at The Death Star. Borlase was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Toreros fall to 6-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2034 season.
Borlase had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Tomio Nakahara, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Grays a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Borlase.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Borlase, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
