Spirited fans at Cobb Field greeted the Billings Mustangs for their clash with the Calgary Kodiaks.

Calgary beat Billings on the strength of starter Bruce Patterson's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. The Mustangs fall to 5-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

Michael Krause, who is tied for 7th in the DKL in hits with 20, aided the Calgary cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the first. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Patterson.
