The Silver Lake Baristas did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the Fairfield Flash at Ashton Gate. Nobody did more than pitcher Roberto Valentín, who captured player of the game honors. Silver Lake, now 3-8, is off to a slow start.

The Baristas got a big at-bat from second baseman Vittoriano Lussu. For the game, Lussu was 1-3 with 2 walks. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 12th hit of the season gave Silver Lake a 2-1 lead.

"This place was rockin'," said Valentín.
