The Cats grabbed a win, 3-1, at Stanley Park, overcoming a fine effort from Vancouver pitcher Sean Nichols. Nichols went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Fort Worth, now 4-7, is off to a slow start.

The Cats got a big at-bat from catcher Salvador Leon. For the game, Leon went 1-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Fort Worth a 2-1 lead.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Leon.
