The Antioch Coal Miners knocked off the Calgary Kodiaks, 14-1, at Foothills Stadium. John Johnson, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Antioch won. The left fielder went 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Antioch is off to a hot start at 8-1.

Waylon Swerdlow, who is rated as the 10th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Antioch cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
