The Vancouver Canadians topped the Fort Worth Cats by the score of 5-1, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Ignacio Ochoa. Ochoa was 2-2 with a double and 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Canadians. Bob Johnston locked down his 1st save. The Cats fall to 3-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

José Rodríguez aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 1-3.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Rodríguez told the Vancouver News.
