Hot Start Continues for Titans
|
The Chicago Titans defeated the Reno Rockets, 4-1, in Nick Adenhart League action at The War Dome, with Chicago pitcher William Clark named player of the game. In 6.1 innings, Clark surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. The Titans, now 6-2, have been on a roll in the early going.
Thomaz Quint had a big 2-run double for the Titans in the bottom of the second inning. With Chicago leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a forkball from Michael Moyer and stroked the double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Titans ahead, 3-0.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Quint. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
