Texans Win at New England, 5-2
|
With designated hitter Michael Fitzgerald leading the charge, the Dallas Texans defeated the New England Colonials, 5-2, at Skellington Stadium. Fitzgerald went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Adrien Clément nailed down his 1st save. The Colonials fall to 8-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2034 season.
The Texans got a big at-bat from right fielder Tsunayoshi Ito. For the game, Ito went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Dallas a 3-2 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Fitzgerald, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
