The Indian Wells Aeropostales wiggled past the Fort Worth Cats, 5-4, at LaGrave Field. Indian Wells left fielder Shadi bin Mufeed earned player of the game honors. Indian Wells reliever Kevin Spurr picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Shih-k'ai Mi absorbed the loss. Toshikasu Yoshida closed it out for his 2nd save.

The Aeropostales got a big at-bat from second baseman Bernardo Rodríguez. For the game, Rodríguez was 1-5 with a double and a walk. In the top of the 12th, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Indian Wells a 5-4 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Rodríguez. "And not try to do too much."

The win pushes Indian Wells to a record of 4-4.
