The Bowling Green Racers did just enough to sneak past the Fairfield Flash, 1-0, at Top of the Hill. Bowling Green pitcher Luis Rodríguez earned player of the game honors. Bowling Green reliever David Lidstone picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Gabriel Bernard absorbed the loss. Bowling Green, now 3-6, is off to a slow start.

Doug Sanders hit a run-scoring triple off Gabriel Bernard in the bottom of the ninth, which put the Racers in front, 1-0. Sanders had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sanders. "And not try to do too much."
