Cacti Topple Cats with Late Rally

The Albuquerque Cacti beat the Fort Worth Cats, 5-4, at LaGrave Field. The Cacti got a fine performance from shortstop Miguel Rosero, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. The win was T.J. Sparks's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Everton Mailes took the loss for Fort Worth. The Cacti, now 5-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from right fielder Giichiro Dunn. For the game, Dunn went 1 for 5. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 8th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 5-4 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Rosero. "And not try to do too much."
