Fireballs Win at Pasadena, 8-5
|
The Joplin Fireballs powered past the Pasadena Bumblebees, 8-5, at The Hole. Stewart Gee was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Jacob Willard picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 5 in 7.2 innings. The Fireballs, now 4-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Gee had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Fireballs went on to win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Gee told the Joplin Bulletin.
